Through regular events and gatherings, we make it easier for people to connect, share experiences, and enjoy time together in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our activities are centred on social connection, enjoyment, and building genuine relationships.    ### How we’re organised Friends of South Africa is an incorporated community association in New South Wales, run completely by volunteers.  We operate in line with our constitution and are committed to transparency, fairness, and positive participation in all our activities. ***Our values guide how we organise events, engage with members, and build community together.*** ### Our Values Friends of South Africa is built on shared values that help create a community where people feel welcome, supported, and respected.  Inclusivity We welcome people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives and aim to create a space where everyone feels they belong. Racism and negativity have no place in our community. Respect We engage with one another in a respectful and considerate way and value open, thoughtful conversations. Integrity We act with integrity and take responsibility for our actions and commitments, including showing consideration for others when registering for or attending events. Support We encourage and support one another, helping members feel valued and connected. Community engagement We value connection within our group and with the wider community to build meaningful and positive relationships. Fun and enjoyment We believe community should be enjoyable, and we create opportunities for fun, friendship, and shared experiences.
